Sorry I am late with my rant of the week. I actually was busy today. I know don’t laugh I really was!
Last week was intense but His grace saw us all through. Isn’t it amazing that He is there through every storm and trial?
Service on Sunday started as normal, early. Odyssey started at 7:30 AM and the class was ready. However I was too and I challenged the men as to why they were there? Why were they in the place they are in and where are they going. It all stems from the discipleship theme I have been stuck on for the last several weeks.
I guess I just want to see their lives changed, transformed and moving forward into their destiny. It is exciting to see growth!
The Children’s area was bustling with activity as Miss Brenda with our Trailblazers (Formerly First Steps) and Kyle and his team with Kid Nation getting ready to minister. That is right I said minister. They don’t just play but actually minister to them. While I am ranting if you have a passion to see young lives changed go back there and see what they are doing. I am sure that you will have your eyes opened!
In the main service time we had a couple leave after hearing a secular melody before service. They were looking for a more traditional service. I thought we were traditional? Our tradition is roted and grounded in His love that is shed in our hearts. That is tradition at it’s finest! I know that God will lead them to the right place. Be blessed!
Pastor Michael preached in the first service. I told Scott that he would have to go an extra mile in the second to top it. He did. Check out our podcast on ITunes. Guess what he did not say anything controversial. I am sure that will change next week.
It never ceases to amaze me how God honors us. He is worthy to be praised! Did that sound churchy?
Probably so. We had prayer this morning at 6:30 and guess what? God showed up.
Ok enough for now gotta go.
